Ten years ago, Essi's mother died in a questionable accident, leaving her daughter memories and a USB flash drive with a locked folder called "X-note". Unable to read the mysterious files, Essi continued living her life as a normal junior high school student, although her powers are far beyond those of normal humans. Her seemingly normal life is one day interrupted by a young man named Yuon, who wants her to investigate a murder case at Xen Institute, a school that's somehow connected with Essi's mother.
